This trek leaves every day. It is operated by Panda Tours, a licensed trekking operator with almost 20 years experience in jungle and hill-tribe trekking.

What to bring on a trek     Location of Panda Tours Chiang Mai

Payment has to be made one day before the departure of the trek. We can visit you at your hotel or guest-house to collect the payment or you come to the office of Panda Tours.

Pick-up time at your hotel or guest-house is about 09:00 to 09:30 h.

This trek goes to the Mae Taeng area to the north of Chiang Mai.

First Day

We will drive about one and a half hours to the trekking area. At first will have lunch and then we will walk about 3 hours through the jungle to a village of the Lahu hill-tribe. There we will stay overnight in a bamboo hut.

Second Day

After having breakfast we will make an elephant ride through the jungle for about an hour and then walk through the jungle (with breaks at a waterfall where you can swim and at hill-tribe villages) for about 3 hours to a private jungle camp. Here we will stay overnight.

Third Day

After having breakfast we will walk for about two hours through the jungle and visit some hill-tribe villages. After lunch we will make exciting rides with a rubber boat (whitewater rafting) and a bamboo raft on the Mae Taeng River for about one and a half hours.

You will be back in Chiang Mai at about 17:30 h.
