Payment has to be made one day before the departure of the trek. We can visit you at your hotel or guesthouse to collect the payment.
Pick-up time at your hotel or guesthouse is about 08:00 to 08:30 h.
This trek goes to the Mae Daeng area to the north of Chiang Mai. Departure of the trek is about 09:30 h at the office of Panda Tours. We use a converted Pick-up truck for transportation because we need 4WD in some areas.
First Day
After an 01:30 hours drive we will arrive at the start of the trek where we will also have lunch. We will walk about 01:30 hours through jungle and countryside to a village of the Meo hilltribe. Then another walk of about 2 hours to a village of the Lahu hilltribe. There we will stay overnight with a friendly Lahu family.
Second Day
After having breakfast we will walk for about 2 hours to a waterfall where you can swim and have lunch. Later another walk for about 3 hours to a forest camp by a small river. Here we will stay overnight.
Third Day
After breakfast we will walk for about 30 minutes to an elephant camp. There you can enjoy an elephant ride for about an hour to the rafting camp where we will have lunch. After lunch you can make an exciting white water adventure for about an hour, and continue to do bamboo rafting for an hour. Then we will pick you up to drive to a village of the Akha hilltribe. Then we will drive back.
You will be back in Chiang Mai at about 17:00 h.
