Trek 2 Days 1 Night

This trek is designed for people who stay only a few days in Chiang Mai and do not have time to take part in our 3 days trek.

Included are:

Itinerary

8:30 - 9:30 a.m. : Pick-up from hotel or guest-house by pick-up truck.

Hilltribe group We will leave Chiang Mai on highway 108 past the airport to Sanpatong, an about 40 min. drive. We will make a stop at the market. The guide will buy the food for the trek and you have time to buy some things you might need on the trek.

After an about 30 min. drive to the Mae Wang waterfalls at the Doi Inthanon National Park. Here we will make the mid-day break and and have lunch for about 45 min.

The guides will cook for you

After the break an about 20 min. drive to an old temple. The guide will lead a tour for about half an hour.

Then another 15 min. drive to the end of the road.

Walking through the jungle on Doi Inthanon Now it is time to start walking. For about 2 hours the guide will lead you through a wonderful evergreen jungle landscape, through bamboo forests, lianas, rhododendrons and lots of other vegetation. Also there are lots of beautiful birds.

The walk will lead us to a Karen hilltribe village with a nearby waterfall where we will stay over night.

The next morning, after breakfast we will walk for about 1.5h to a waterfall. From there a pick-up truck will bring us to Mae Mud village, a village of the Shan tribe. There we will have lunch.

Dismounting at the end of the elephant ride After lunch we will go bamboo rafting on the Mae Wang Stream for about 1.5 hours. The rafts are made of bamboo stems fit together with ropes.

After we will make an elephant ride for about 1.5 hours, and then we will drive back to Chiang Mai where you will arrive at about 17:00 h.
