Description of Tour 6, Chiang Dao, Long Neck Hilltribes

This tour leaves every day. It is operated by Amporn Tours, a licensed tour operator.
This tour is a "joint" tour, that means you make this tour and share the costs together with other tourists (up to 10 persons). A private tour is also possible. The price depends on the number of persons.

Payment has to be made at least one day before the departure of the tour. We can visit you at your hotel or guesthouse to collect the payment.

Pick-up time at your hotel or guesthouse is about 07:00 h.

Chiang Dao is about 70 kms north of Chiang Mai. The ride goes through a beautiful mountain landscape. At first we will visit Chiang Dao Cave where we will make an half hour tour through the cave. From the cave we will drive to a village of the Meo hilltribe. Then we will drive to the Mae Kong River where we will have lunch.

After lunch we will drive to a village of the Karen hilltribe. From there we will walk to a village of the Long-neck Karen. On our way back to Chiang Mai we will visit Thaton Temple, stop at a viewpoint with beautiful scenery and have a stop at the Big White Buddha.

We will be back in Chiang Mai at about 17:00 hours.
