Mae Wang Stream Mae Wang Fall This tour leaves every day. It is operated by Amporn Tours, a licensed tour operator.
This tour is a "joint" tour, that means you make this tour and share the costs together with other tourists (up to 10 persons). A private tour is also possible. The price depends on the number of persons.

Payment has to be made at least one day before the departure of the tour. We can visit you at your hotel or guesthouse to collect the payment.

Pick-up time at your hotel or guesthouse is about 08:00 to 08:30 h.

This tour goes to the beautiful Mae Win Valley in Mae Wang district south of Chiang Mai. An about 1 hour drive.

at Mae Wang Fall At first we will visit Mae Wang elephant training camp to make an elephant ride of about 1 hour through beautiful jungle. Then we will make a short walk uphill to a village of the Meo hilltribe. An English speaking guide will lead a tour through the village. From there we will walk about half an hour downhill.

hilltribe village Then we will drive to a restaurant to have lunch. After lunch we will visit a village of the Karen hilltribe. There you can watch hilltribes weaving, buy some hilltribe products or only walk around and take photographs.

After that we will drive to Mae Wang waterfall where you can bath or swim or just relax.
At last we do bamboo rafting. The rafts are made of bamboo trunks tied together. You are acompanied by an experienced rafter. It takes about 1 hour dependent on the water-flow. The stream is just about 1 meter deep with a few quite exiting rapids. At some rapids you have to walk a little while the rafters are steering the rafts through.

We will be back in Chiang Mai at about 17:00 hours.
