The Lohasimbali HellThis hell is the 15th auxiliary hell for those who commit adultery. The kapok trees are one yojana tall (approx. 13 kilometers) and have flaming thorns of red hot iron sixteen finger lengths long. Lovers who have committed adultery are reborn into this hell. The guardians of hell at the bottom of the tree pierce the lover low on the tree with lances, urging him or her to hurry up the tree to join the other at the top. Though in mortal pain, the lover is driven by fear of the guardians to the top, only to discover that the other is at the bottom. |
