Guided jungle and hilltribe trekking tour with a detour to the Doi Inthanon mountain including
elephant riding, bamboo rafting, jungle hiking, overnight stay in Karen hilltribe villages, a visit of a Hmong hilltribe village and sights on the Doi Inthanon.
We do this trekking tour every day.
Pick up from hotel or guesthouse: 09:00 - 09:30 h.
Back in Chiang Mai at about 17:00 h

9:00 - 9:30 a.m. : Pick up from hotel or guesthouse by pick up truck.
We will leave Chiang Mai on highway 108 past the airport to Sanphathong, an about 40 min. drive. We will make a stop at a local market. The guide will buy the food for the trek and you have time to buy some things you might need on the trek.
After an about 1h drive to the Wachiratarn waterfalls in the Doi Inthanon National Park. Here we will make the mid-day break and and have lunch.
After the break we will drive about 30 min. to the Twin Royal Pagodas and then to the 2565 m high peak of Doi Inthanon. Then we will drive another 45 min to the end of the road at a Hmong hilltribe village, where we start walking. For about 2 hours the guide will lead you through a wonderful evergreen jungle landscape, through bamboo forests, lianas, rhododendrons and lots of other vegetation. Also there are lots of beautiful birds.
The walk will lead us to a Karen hilltribe village, where we will stay overnight.
After breakfast we will walk for about 1.5 hours to a jungle waterfall. From there a pick up truck will bring us to Mae Mud village, a village of the Shan tribe (Tai Yai). There we will have lunch.
After lunch we will go bamboo rafting on the Mae Wang Stream. The rafts are made of bamboo stems fit together with ropes.
Then will make an adventurous elephant ride through the jungle. After the elephant ride we will drive back to Chiang Mai where we will arrive at about 17:00 h - 17:30 h.
